This range depends on the quality and color of the product, Lower quality product will have lower prices which does not have the same level of durability and resin used in the material makes the countertop look yellow ish after a while.  

For Example,  If your kitchen is 65 SqFT which usually are most of the standard size kitchens any local fabricator will need to buy 2 slabs from a distributor which will be charged to the customer for that reason the prices go high.
